After the budget session of 16th March, automobile companies like ‘Honda Siel Cars India’, ‘Mahindra & Mahindra’ and ‘General Motors India’ lost no time in increasing the cost of their vehicles to offset the higher excise duty announced by the finance minister. Maruti to bring out multi purpose vehicle next month

11th April will witness the emergence of Ertiga, a multi purpose vehicle (MPV) from Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer in India. The solid seven-seater was exhibited at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi. The cost is yet to be fixed; obviously the company is waiting for the union budget to be presented on 16th instant. Volvo business may slump due to the entry of Tata Motors in the luxury bus segment

‘Tata Motors’ intends to capture 50% of the market share of super luxury buses, challenging Volvo, which has a current market share of 60% to 70%.
