Hyundai Motor, a primary South Korean vehicle manufacturer launches the new petrol version of Verna in a bid to capture the market of luxury sedan cars, intended primarily for excellence in performance, comfort and safety. Designed in shape of an egg shell, Verna is sleek from the outside featuring a really roomy interior.

Hyundai Verna 1.6L VTVT, the base version of the vehicle is fitted with a powerful petrol engine. It comes in an Ex-showroom price of 6.50 lakhs in Delhi.

The new Verna measures 4310mm for length, 1695mm for width and 1490mm for height. The vehicle claims a minimum turning radius of 4.92 m and a ground clearance of 170mm. The wheelbase is 2500mm. It reports a mileage of 14.8 km / litre in the highway and 10.2 km/ litre in the city.

Engine Specifications

Verna is equipped with a 1.6L VTVT 1599 cc engine. The petrol engine produces a maximum power of 103.2PS@5,500rpm and 14.9Kgm@3000rpm torque. The V16 engine offers DOHC (Dual Overhead Cam) and 4 in-line cylinders.

The front wheel drive model features a 5 speed manual transmission. The capacity of the fuel tank is 45 litres.

Performance

The petrol model offer MacPherson Strut with Coil Spring and anti- roll bar Front suspension. It also features Couple Torsion Beam Axle for the Rear suspension. The model is fitted with an Electric assisted Rack & Pinion steering gear. The tyres also measure 185/65 R14. The front brake comes in Ventilated Discs type, while the rear brakes are Disc and Drum type.

Comfort And Convenience

The new Verna is designed with more elegance, luxury and performance. It contains a high quality 2 DIN Music System, featuring 4 speakers with 2 tweeters. Hyundai Verna, even if it preserves the old present-day European looks, also features design modification to include comfortable interiors, and advanced exterior features.

The stylish radiator grille adds to the visual appeal. The model also offer exterior features such as Body Colour Outer Door handles, Tinted mirror, Rear Defogger, Alloy wheels, Wooden Finish Panes, power steering, Remote fuel filler and Remote boot,

Interior Specifications

The new Verna provides generous space in the interior, with a seating capacity of 5 persons. It gives you a refreshing riding experience. It also provides height adjustable seat belts and rear arm rest with cup-holder. The car comes fitted with tachometer, AM/FM radio and CD player.

Safety Features

Hyundai Verna 1.6L also features safety features front fog lamps, clutch lock system, central locking and Child Safety Locks.

However, the petrol version looks small from outside.
