Mahindra XUV500 has been introduced in not only India, but the other worldwide markets as well.
Developed totally, at Mahindra this model is expected to compete with the SUV/ Crossover as well Sedan models, chiefly the Tata Aria. Monocoque construction is the USP of this Mahindra model.

It features a 2.2 litre CRDe mHawk engine, generating 140 BHP @ 3750 rpm power and 330Nm @ 1600-2800 rpm torque. It also offers a six speed synchromesh manual gearbox.

The vehicle offered in three variants can be seen either in a two wheel drive or a four wheel drive version. Regular safety features loaded on the model includes ABS with EBD and airbags.
The variants offered are the XUV 500 W6: 4×2 priced at 10.8 lakh rupees, XUV 500 W8: 4×2 at a cost of 11.95 lakh rupees and the XUV 500 W8: 4×4 costing 12.88 lakh rupees.
