TVS recently launched the new commuter bike, TVS Apache RTR 180 with a top speed of 125kph. The motorbike claims a fuel consumption of 39.00kmpl for the city, while that at the highway is 47.00kmpl. Weighing 137.00 kg, it is available in dimensions of 1100.00mm for height, 730.00mm for width and 2085.00mm for length.

Engine Specifications

Powered by a 177.4cc 4 stroke single cylinder, the Apache RTR 180 delivers a maximum power of 17.3 Bhp @ 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 15.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The motorbike features 5 speed gear and Multi Plate Wet Type Clutch. The new titanium black engine is a jaded version of the 160cc mill and offers a longer stroke. The vehicle also offers Double cradle chassis. Meanwhile, the aerodynamic scoop guarantees that Air is aimed right at the engine unit to increase the cooling efficiency.

Safety Specifications

The new bike from TVS features a front suspension of 105mm stroke, telescopic forks and gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. It offers a forged brake lever as well as gear lever set, which gives it an attractive look. The front petal disc brake is at 270mm, while that at the rear is 200mm. The vehicle comes with a removable rear fender. RTR features specially developed race crouch mirrors to give it a better angle and safety.

Looks and Other Specifications

The new RTR 180 is available with graphic RTR boldly inscribed on the tank scoops. Meanwhile, the front forks and the gas reservoirs with shock absorbers are dyed in new golden shade, even as the RTR emblem is seen on the clip-ons, at the centre. The bike with its stylish alloys, unique grab rails, classy silencer as well as larger and sharp lined fuel tank looks very sporty. Other features include the New White tachometer and the Digital blue backlit Speedometer, taken from RTR 160cc. The fuel tank of the bike has a capacity of 16.00 litres.

The headlamp of the bike is a 12V 35/35W Halogen HS1, Clear lens with MFR. The bike also features 6 spoke Mag Alloys with 90/90 x 17- 110/80 x 17 inches mm. The digital speedometer looks very cool especially at night and the naked chain gives it a look of real racing bike. Additional features are the 90/90X17 tubeless front tyres and the 110/80X17 tubeless at the rear.

Apache RTR 180 with a wheelbase of 1326.00mm also offers a ground clearance of 180.00mm. The bike though it keeps the basic format of the current RTR, it delivers more modern features such as digital speedometer with top speed, 0-60 timer, trips as well as other added functionality plus spectacular looks. The titanium black engine with the cover, LED tail lamp, new turn signal lamps, new rear fender and a slick silencer give the bike a great sporty look.

Comfort and Convenience Features

The new Apache features the chiselled sporty look with designed rear set aluminium foot pegs, adjustable split handlebars and sculpted seat to ensure excellent control and manoeuvrability. The bike provides New white Analogue Tachometer as well as the Digital fuel gauge and digital speedometer. The digital display help to keep track of the top speed achieved. The motorbike also offers Passenger Footrest and the Step-Up Seat. Facilities such as Low Fuel indicator and Low Oil Indicator are offered by Apache RTR 180.

The bike goes to a different level, even as it promotes itself as a leader in various aspects such as acceleration, performance, styling, manoeuvrability and stability. It is intended for best performance on turmac; in-sharp turns, and while navigating urban obstacles.

Pricing and Variants

In view of the fastidious competition prevalent in the current market, this new bike from TVS definitely proves a strong challenger. Available in Delhi, at an Ex-showroom price of Rs, 63,900, the bike is fitted with both electric and kick-start. The new TVS Apache RTR 180 also comes in colours like Pearl White, Titanium Grey, Yellow and Black.
